We recently had the opportunity to review a new children's CD - The Groove Kid Nation Rhythm Bears.
Groove Kid Nation continues its award-winning music education series with a third release Rhythm Bears.
Producer Rodney Lee once again recruits top L.A. musicians and heads deep into the woods to create a soulful folk hoedown.
As the title suggests, Rhythm Bears is all about drawing kids into the music with rhythmic call and response games that will have them clapping, stomping, playing percussion, and vocalizing to the beat.
In addition, a band of groovy bears open childrens’ ears to a whole new set of musical instruments including harmonica, fiddle, acoustic guitar, acoustic bass, clarinet, kalimba, ukulele, and even didgeridoo. Each song features a new instrument, and the enclosed 10-page booklet features colorful illustrations of each Rhythm Bear.
My daughter Amelia and I really enjoyed this CD.She loves music,dancing and singing.The very first time I played it,my little girl,who is three years old started to dance around,sing and clap her hands to the music. During the songs they tell you what instruments they are going to be playing.My daughter has a percussion,tambourine and many other instruments she loves to play,so this music is ideal for her.On the CD there is are many different instruments they play.It would be wonderful for parents and children if they would sell the music cd in a boxed set along with a few child's instruments so the child can play a long with this CD and would make a great Christmas Gift too.
We really loved this CD so much and she really loves to look at the booklet that came with it! This CD is really fun to dance to and is also a fun way for children to explore musical instruments they have never heard before.
